Vintage cars at Bletchley Park where I volunteer as a tour guide. The ambulance used to belong to my friend Erin’s grandpa and the Sunbeam below was used in the Kate Winslet film Enigma.
Valves at the back of Colossus, the world’s first semi-programmable computer. Colossus was built by the General Post Office during the war to help decipher Lorenz – a high-grade cipher used by Hitler to communicate directly with the German high command. This working rebuild lives at the National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park.
