Mittens with a cause

DSC_1112_opt

Go and buy some mittens to support the Paul Pfeuti Young Musician Trust, a charity founded a few years ago to raise money for children who want to learn music. Paul Pfeuti, my friend Liz’s father, was a pianist and music teacher who died suddenly a few Christmases ago. Liz and her mum decided to set up a foundation in his name to help children with instrument hire and to buy sheet music etc. As part of their fundraising efforts Liz’s mum and her knitter pals in the Lake District make fab hats and mittens for a donation.

This is the third pair of red mittens I’ve bought in two years, having lost the other two. This time Mrs Pfeuti asked if I would like them on string. Yes, please. My red hat is also by Mama Pfeuti and is the latest in a growing collection which also includes lovely green and blue hats. Please support this great little charity and get yourself some really lovely home-made vintage-style knitwear!

To buy, contact Liz on eh30@hotmail.com with the subject line ‘mittens’.
